Dewatering Pumps Built for Different Jobsite Demands

Not every dewatering job calls for the same kind of equipment. Some applications demand higher head and dependable operation at low water levels. Others require moving large volumes of water quickly and efficiently. Some sites need a lightweight portable unit that is easy to carry, deploy, and reposition throughout the day. HCP Pumps addresses those different needs with multiple dewatering pump series, including portable dewatering options.

HD Series Submersible Dewatering Pumps for Civil Engineering and Flood Control

For demanding dewatering work, HCP Pumps’ HD series is built around the needs of civil engineering and flood or water control applications. The HD series is designed for portability and low-water-level operation, using a double outer casing and a water-cooling motor so the pump can continue performing where water levels drop. These pumps are equipped with IP68 epoxy resin cable protection, an automatic rest motor protector, and a silicon carbide double mechanical seal for durability and leak resistance. With a horsepower range of 1.5 to 20, maximum head up to 190 feet, and maximum flow up to 690 GPM, our HD Series Submersible Dewatering Pumps are a strong fit when high head and rugged field performance matter.

IC Series Dewatering Pumps for Efficient, Corrosion-Resistant Performance

Our IC series is a smart option when you need a submersible dewatering pump that balances performance, efficiency, and corrosion resistance. The IC series uses an internal casing treated with a high-solids epoxy coating to improve anti-corrosion performance and extend service life. These pumps also feature a dry motor with thermal auto-cut, a heat-efficient cast iron motor frame, abrasion-resistant double mechanical seals, and an additional oil seal. The suction impeller design allows for dewatering or circulation applications, and the strainer can be replaced with a check valve for dewatering up to 26 feet. The IC series comes with discharge sizes from 2 to 6 inches, with 1.5 to 10 horsepower, maximum head up to 135 feet, and maximum flow up to 690 GPM.

L and LA Series Dewatering Pumps for Large-Volume Dewatering

When the job is all about moving serious water volume, our L and LA series deserve attention. The L series is built around axial and mix flow designs for large flow capacities, with an impeller flow guide vane for efficiency, heavy-duty housing, hardened epoxy waterproofing on cable leads, and an ALBC3 aluminum bronze impeller for abrasion and corrosion resistance. These pumps come with discharge sizes from 4 to 12 inches, horsepower from 0.5 to 20, and maximum flow up to 2,480 GPM.

For even larger-volume dewatering, our LA series submersible axial flow pumps are designed specifically for that kind of duty. The motor connects directly to the impeller for high efficiency, and the shaft and impeller are precisely balanced to reduce noise and extend pump life. The LA series comes standard with a thermal protector and mechanical leakage detector, while sacrificial anodes help reduce corrosion and extend service life in harsh environments, including seawater exposure. Choose from 22-inch and 28-inch discharge sizes, 50 to 100 horsepower, and maximum flow up to 18,400 GPM.

Portable Dewatering Pumps for Construction Sites and Fast Response Work

HCP Pumps also offers portable dewatering pumps for applications where mobility matters. Our GDS/GDR portable dewatering line is a construction-focused solution that is lightweight, portable, and durable. These pumps are engineered with aluminum alloy construction in the motor frame and mechanical seal bracket, extra water cooling to the motor, and exchangeable discharge orientations.  We also offer models with a built-in float switch for automatic on/off operation. This part of our dewatering pump lineup is especially appealing for contractors, temporary drainage needs, and job sites where speed and ease of handling are just as important as pumping performance.

A Better Dewatering Pump Match Starts with the Right Duty Point

One of the strengths of our dewatering lineup is that it's not one-size-fits-all. The HD series is a natural fit for tougher civil engineering and lower-water-level work, the IC series stands out for corrosion resistance and flexible dewatering or circulation use, and the L and LA series are geared toward high-volume water movement. Portable GDS/GDR units round out the lineup for lighter-duty, mobile jobsite work. That range gives contractors, engineers, distributors, and end users more flexibility to match the pump to the job instead of forcing the job to fit the pump.

Work with HCP Pumps to Find the Right Dewatering Solution

Whether you need a submersible dewatering pump for construction, flood control, irrigation, water transfer, or large-volume drainage, HCP Pumps offers multiple series designed to cover very different field conditions and performance requirements. If you're comparing high-head dewatering pumps, portable dewatering pumps, or large-volume axial flow pumps, HCP’s lineup gives you plenty of room to choose a solution that makes sense for your application and specifications.
